The beginning of the year shook the international filmmaking community with the news about passing of one of the most eccentric and fascinating creators in modern cinema – David Lynch. The director of the legendary “Twin Peaks” and widely acclaimed “Blue Velvet”, “Wild at Heart” or “Mulholland Drive”, had close connections to Poland, especially with the EnergaCAMERIMAGE International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography and its originator and director – Marek Żydowicz, with whom he remained friends for over two decades. After director’s passing, Poland received a very special gift – 13 containers filled with artifacts connected to “Twin Peaks” and Lynch’s oeuvre. All of them will be presented in the first and only museum in the world dedicated to his work, which will be created in Toruń as part of the European Film Center CAMERIMAGE.
