Eway: Poles betting on electromobility

Eway, a Polish operator and manufacturer of e-car charging stations, has secured PLN 3 million in funding for expansion. Rubicon Partners, a VC fund that has been supporting Eway in the commercialization of its technology, was responsible for the fundraising process.

A company with 100% Polish capital, Eway puts together at its plant in Błonie near Warsaw components manufactured in Europe and the US.

The company has already completed its first projects and plans to significantly scale up its operations on the Polish market and begin European expansion in 2024.

Eway stations are easy to use, safe and do not require any applications. For the first time in Europe, they feature an integrated payment system without a physical payment terminal. All customers have to do is pay for the service with a contactless payment card and charge the car and the terminal will send an invoice or receipt via email.

Poland, where almost 50,000 “electrics” are already registered, is thriving in this field and the transformation is set to accelerate, with Polish engineers from the Warsaw University of Technology developing and manufacturing charging stations different from those previously available on the market.
