Expansion of the TRUMPF Huettinger R+D Center

TRUMPF Huettinger, a leader in modern technologies, has opened a new building of the research and development center in Zielonka near Warsaw.

The expanded TRUMPF Huettinger R+D center now covers 3,800 sq m. modern space, half of which is dedicated to advanced laboratories. The remaining part of the facility includes offices, workshops, a warehouse, assembly lines, test stations and a prototype workshop. Thanks to the expansion, the research and development center in Zielonka has reached a total area of over 9,200 sq m, becoming one of the largest facilities of this type in the region, which will accelerate the design and preparation for production of high-voltage (HV) technologies for the semiconductor industry on a large scale. global.

The center becomes a home for engineers, programmers, electronics, mechanics and many other specialists, currently employing nearly 300 highly qualified employees.General Director of TRUMPF Huettinger in Poland, Paweł Ozimek, says the expansion of the R+D center is not only a physical expansion, but above all an investment in the future of technology and innovation. An increase in research and development expenditure by 61% in the last financial year proves the company’s strong commitment to searching for new technological solutions and supporting talents, he says.

“At every step we try to emphasize that the growth of our company is not only a larger scale of operations, but above all, consistent investments in the latest technologies, which results in the implementation of innovations that actually develop know-how and increase the capabilities and competitiveness of our clients. We are glad that right here in Poland we are creating a state-of-the-art research space for such technologies, where we employ the best specialists. It is also proof that Polish technological thought is doing very well and the future is open to it,” says Ozimek.

Rafał Bugyi, president of TRUMPF Hüttinger GmbH, points out that modern working conditions and ambitious engineering challenges are key to efficiency and innovation. The extensive R+D center is intended not only to attract the best talents in the field of engineering and research, but also to equip them with the tools necessary to create breakthrough technological solutions.

“Modern conditions, ambitious engineering challenges and satisfactory remuneration are the basis for efficiency and innovation today. It is completely obvious to us that in order to attract the best engineering and research talents from the market, we need to offer them space for rapid development as well as a sense of agency. We have expanded the center to ensure that outstanding units are equipped with the latest tools that will help them create the best solutions on the market of the latest global semiconductor technologies, photovoltaic cells with the highest efficiency and the production of flat screens. Both on a national and global scale,” says Bugyi.

The expansion of the center in Zielonka is part of a broader expansion strategy of TRUMPF Huettinger, which covers the Warsaw agglomeration. The company already has seven buildings in the region where it designs and produces modern solutions for the high-tech sector. At the end of 2023, TRUMPF Huettinger opened a new production plant in Warsaw’s Białołęka, and this year it launched another facility in Kobyłka, neighboring Zielonka.

TRUMPF Huettinger is a global leader in the production of power supplies used in key technological processes such as plasma coating, induction heating and laser excitation. In Poland, the company employs approximately 1,700 employees.
