Polish data company Atman obtained a loan at zł 1.35b ($ 337m) for construction of 50,000 servers data centre in Duchnice near Warsaw. This is the biggest data centre loan in Poland enabling Atman to become a leading data collector and processor in the country and CEE. The campus named WAW-3 will host servers in three buildings of almost 19,000 sq.m. Construction of the first building to supply 14.4 MW power to IT infrastructure stared in October 202m. 100% of power will be produced from renewable sources. IT analysts expect enormous growth of data centre driven by cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI). In recent years Poland has become a key data support for global IT players with 15% of the market held by Atman in terms of net space for collocation, cloud computing and dedicated servers. So far the biggest data investor in Poland is Microsoft building its first CEE data centre at $ 1b.
