Polonia Uncensored 2

The Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw presents works of Ignacy Czwartos – a Polish painter and draftsman, the winner of an open competition for an exhibition in the Polish Pavilion in Venice. The result of the competition was invalidated by an arbitrary decision of the former Minister of Culture Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz, bringing up the controversy and increasing interest of the international media. “Polonia Uncensored 2” exhibition was organized out of belief in the high artistic and intellectual rank of the artist’s work as well as out of disagreement with the attempt to politically suppress artistic freedom. As the organizers stated – “Come see it, while you’re still allowed”.
