The new immersive exhibition at Farbyka Norblina in Warsaw takes viewers on a multisensory trip through Salvador Dalí’s eccentric, pioneering mind, focusing on the artist’s scientific approach and his fascination with theory of relativity and the fourth dimension. His works, full of dreamlike landscapes and surprising, enigmatic elements, where time and space are formidably deformed, have become icons of contemporary art not only on canvas, but in sculpture, photography and film. Dalí collaborated, among others, with Walt Disney, Coco Chanel, Alfred Hitchcock and Luis Buñuel, with whom he co-created “Un Chien Andalou”, giving rise to the surrealist cinema. An undisputed genius, who transcended the bounds of imagination both in life and art, experimented also with holography and in 70’s created three-dimensional pieces, which showed his phenomenal foresight, predicting the future of art in digital era and the role of technology in enriching the artistic expression and experience. As the first digital creator in history, he used computers to reach beyond our reality. The exhibition is accompanied by an extensive educational program addressed to all age groups. It includes, among others, school lessons, workshops and events for adults and families, as well as creative workshops for children such as ‘Experiments with perspective’ and “Mathematics in the art of Salvador Dalí”. “Dalí Cybernetics” is open until December 31.
