In the heart of the post-industrial district of Łódź, in the complex of the former Karol Scheibler’s textile factory, a new art installation was created to retell the story of the city. Connecting the two neighboring areas of Art_Inkubator and Fuzja, the “Thread” project is a symbolic bridge between the industrial heritage and the contemporary cultural space. “The installation refers to the textile traditions of Łódź. It’s an abstract thread that winds in the air and creates a sculpture. We wanted to create a place that would activate this space, encourage meetings and invite rest and relaxation” – explains the author of the project, artist Izabela Bołoz. Installation was created as part of the year-round Łódź Design Festival and is in line with the latest trends in urban revitalization.
