The Most Silent Home Wind Turbines

Polish company Dospel has engineered a compact wind turbine Dragon producing household energy which can be fitted anywhere on a roof, on a wall or in a garden. Its vanes rotate around vertical axis and are not susceptible to wind changes. Dragon is equipped with AI control that optimises turbine work and ensures maximum output with minimum energy. There are three versions producing 500 W, 1000 W or 1500 W so a set of three turbines can supply respectively 1,5 kW, 3 kW or 4.5 kW. It is easy to assemble without a crane or heavy equipment and does not require any construction permit. It can be equipped with 12 V, 24 V or 48 V driver, depending on local wind strength. The cost of installation of one turbine at ca. zł 6,000 to 12,000 ($ 1,500 to 3,000) is returned in lower energy bills after 2-3 years. Dragon is adjusted to Polish weather unlike other devices designed for Dutch and English markets with winds three times stronger than Polish. As medium annual wind velocities in Poland are around 3 m/s, Dospel focused on small drafts so the turbine starts working even at 1 m/s. The innovative device is 150 cm x 100 cm large and 50 kg heavy. It is also the most silent on the market thanks to its unique ball bearings that with 8 m/s wind produce humming sound below 44db, typical of home or library interior.
