Most Millionaires Live In Warsaw
Warsaw, with a rapid 83% increase in millionaires over the past decade, ranks 13th globally for the fastest-growing wealth hubs, positioning the Polish capital as a rising star in global wealth.

Poland’s geographic location at the very heart of Europe is now one of the country’s greatest assets. Poland—safe, stable, and experiencing massive economic growth—is an ideal place to build a business. For several years now, Warsaw’s status as a city of millionaires has been steadily rising. In the latest ranking by consulting firm Henley & Partners, the Polish capital ranked 13th among cities with the fastest-growing number of millionaires.
Warsaw was listed among the “rising stars,” meaning cities around the world that are expected to become increasingly wealthy in the coming years. The Polish capital appeared in the same group as Shenzhen, Hangzhou, and Dubai—and has already surpassed such powerhouses as Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Shanghai, and Bangkok. Over the past decade, the number of millionaires in Warsaw has increased by 83 percent.
Currently, 12,800 people with assets of at least $1 million live in the Polish capital. Among Polish businesspeople, that’s no staggering amount. In Warsaw, a city of nearly two million residents, there are already 32 people with assets worth at least $100 million and four billionaires.
The richest city in the world is New York, home to as many as 384,000 millionaires. But New York is several times larger than Warsaw and has four times more residents. It does not share Warsaw’s difficult past—flattened during World War II and then under communist rule for half a century. Warsaw has built in just a few years what took other cities decades. Economists are clear—Warsaw has the potential to become an even more significant wealth hub.
