Exploring Poland’s Leadership in New Mobility Solutions

n this episode of Business Focus, hosted by Sylwia Ziemacka and produced by Poland Weekly, we dive into Poland’s rapidly expanding electric vehicle (EV) and new mobility sectors. Poland currently ranks second in the world in electric vehicle battery production, with lithium-ion batteries making up over 2.4% of the country’s total exports—a number that’s expected to grow as production continues to scale.

Joining us is Aleksander Rajch, Member of the Board of the New Mobility Association, to discuss key technologies driving new mobility in Poland, including EVs and hydrogen fuel cells. We explore the country’s competitive edge in the global EV market, the role of Polish companies in the international EV supply chain, and the current state of hydrogen-powered vehicle development.

Aleksander Rajch also provides insights into the integration of electric and hydrogen-powered public transportation in Poland, highlighting both challenges and opportunities for the future. Finally, we examine Poland’s strategic position in the global race for new mobility, focusing on policy, infrastructure, and market readiness in both private and public transport sectors.

Tune in to learn about the exciting developments shaping the future of transportation in Poland!

“I believe our unique selling point is that we focus on what brings us together. Poland Weekly offers something you will not find anywhere else: a truly international and unifying perspective focused on content that builds cooperation and mutual understanding. This attitude doesn't make us naïve, but it allows us to focus on mutual understanding and a search for solutions. There are so many new challenges that we are all facing, such as energy transformation, climate change and supply chain disruption, to name but a few. By working together and sharing good practices, we can achieve so much more.”
