Presidents

For those who love theater, but don’t speak Polish well enough, The Nowy Theater in Poznań offers plays with subtitles in English. One of the upcoming stage plays made available to the wider, multi-national audience is “The Presidents” by Werner Schwab and it will take place on December 17. Elderly ladies – from the local snappy dresser through the shrinking violet to the typical curtain twitcher – all seem to have the same daring, youthful dreams which they share only with the closest friends and only on special occasions. What happens when during one mundane teatime they’ll release their fantasies and cross the boundaries of decency? The performance lasts 95 minutes with no intermission and is suitable for viewers 18+.
