Dell New Distribution Centre

New big investment requiring new jobs will soon take place in Łódź, as Prologis Park Łódź starts building 41,500 m² BTS (Build-to-Suit) distribution centre for logistics company DP World to serve Dell Technologies, international provider of IT solutions. The centre will be opened in the second half of 2025 to serve 25 countries in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), including Poland, Germany, Turkey, Sweden, Denmark and the Baltic states. It will be equipped with numerous state-of-the-art solutions like remote readers, air destratifiers, over-standard thermal insulation and photovoltaics installation. “This centre will significantly improve our ability to deliver critical infrastructure systems to EMEA countries more quickly,” said Wiesław Gorzelak, Vice President of Operations, EMEA.

Dell’s factory in Łódź has been operating since 2007 as one of Dell’s 10 factories worldwide, remaining pivotal in its global strategy. It produces desktops, servers and storage arrays employing 1,500 people, including 250 R&D engineers. So far it has manufactured 57 million devices, contributing PLN 1.5 billion to Poland’s GDP in 2023. In 2022 it earned the prestigious Factory of the Future status in seven categories. In recent years Dell has invested heavily in automation, introducing robotics and machine learning for quality control.
