TITANIC Artifacts

A one-of-a-kind exhibition presenting the extraordinary story of the largest and the most magnificent passenger ship of its time, seen by over 35 million viewers around the world, is now available to visitors at Soho Art Center in Warsaw. “TITANIC: The Artifact Exhibition” features 160 authentic exhibits recovered from the wreck remaining at the bottom of the North Atlantic. Visitors embark on a journey receiving a replica of the boarding pass, to set off together with the passengers and the crew on the first and the last voyage of the most luxurious and technologically advanced ship of its era. The presented artifacts include passengers’ personal belongings such as jewelry, watches, suitcases, shoes, documents, letters and money, as well as large, authentic sections of the ship – the control station, massive steel doors leading to the deck, a telegraph, a window from the officer’s cabin or statue of an angel, that once decorated the majestic wooden staircase of the Titanic. Visitors can admire the full-size luxurious interiors, reconstructed from the recovered original furnishings, fine porcelain and beautifully decorated cutlery. Some of the exhibits are presented in Europe for the first time. This educational exhibition of the recovered and preserved artifacts, transports us back in time to April 1912. We witness the greatness of human vision and creation, followed by the unforgettable tragedy, which forever left its mark on hearts and minds of people – the sinking with almost 1,500 people losing their lives. Visitors are able to use an audio guide in six languages. Suitable for all ages.
