Is Poland a Good Place for American Investments?

The Polish technology sector has a strong chance of participating in the development of artificial intelligence tools alongside major American Big Tech companies. Tony Housh, former director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Poland and currently a business consultant, points to significant growth potential in this area. Tony Housh was a guest of David Kennedy in the Poland Today studio.

During the interview at the Poland Today studio, Tony Housh spoke about the influence of Polish technology companies on the development of major American platforms. These companies are global leaders in creating artificial intelligence tools. American corporations dominate this field and maintain a significant market advantage, particularly in areas such as large language models.

However, according to Housh, this also creates opportunities for other companies to contribute by developing specific technologies and tools that support the use of large AI models. Polish companies are increasingly active in this space and are successfully implementing innovative solutions.

In his opinion, Polish companies have enormous potential to participate in the development of artificial intelligence technologies. They possess strong technical expertise and highly skilled specialists, which allows them to create advanced solutions and compete internationally. Housh predicts that in the coming years more international corporations will focus their activities on cooperation with companies in Poland.

“If you look at the development of large language models and major global technology platforms, you can see that there are many opportunities for cooperation,” said Tony Housh during the interview. “There are many companies in Warsaw and across Poland that are developing tools and technologies connected with artificial intelligence. As these technologies become more widely used, their role in the global market will continue to grow.”

Housh also pointed out that Poland’s technological potential extends beyond artificial intelligence. Polish companies are increasingly visible in areas such as virtual reality, augmented reality, defense technologies, cybersecurity, and data analysis.
“When you look at the broader technological landscape, Poland has strong intellectual capital and talented engineers,” he said. “This creates opportunities to build successful business models and innovative companies that can compete on
a global scale.”

According to Housh, Poland’s technological ecosystem continues to develop dynamically.
“The Polish technology sector is moving forward and looking toward the future. Poland is becoming an increasingly successful player in the global innovation economy,” he said.
Housh also highlighted the importance of other growing sectors, including the space industry.

“There are opportunities in areas such as micro-mobility, lighting technologies, and especially the space sector,” he explained. “Poland is increasingly involved in space-related projects that support society, including communication systems, monitoring technologies, and cooperation with international organizations such as the European Space Agency.”

He added that Poland’s development and growing international cooperation are key factors attracting foreign investment.

“Poland is increasingly seen as a success story,” Housh said. “The country has become an important partner for international companies and institutions. Strong relationships between business, government, and international partners are helping Poland continue its development.”
