From 22 to 26 June the Polish President Andrzej Duda visited China to meet the President Xi Jinping and participate in the World Economic Forum in Dalian, the Polish-Chinese Economic Forum in Shanghai and other events. During four-hour talks the Presidents discussed bilateral economic co-operation, global politics, security and the Belt and Route Initiative started by China in 2013 to develop infrastructural links with the Middle East, Africa and Europe. They also attended signing Polish-Chinese agreements on co-operation in trade and investments, including export of Polish poultry and beans to China, and publication of a thorough bilingual dictionary. During the visit the Chinese government abolished short-term visas for Poles and the President Duda invited the President Jinping to Poland. Both countries established diplomatic relations 75 years ago.
