100 jobs waiting for innovators

In 2023, 100 jobs for innovators will be created at Łukasiewicz – Poznań Institute of Technology. The unit in Poznań is implementing the program of the Łukasiewicz Research Network, which intends to employ up to 2,000 scientists throughout Poland.

“The market needs innovations based on scientific knowledge. This is evidenced by, for example, the Łukasiewicz Challenges, which can be thrown to us by companies looking for a solution to a specific technological or process problem. Within 15 working days, we propose a solution free of charge, we recommend a team of experts and equipment facilities for conducting R&D works,” explains Arkadiusz Kawa, director of Łukasiewicz – PIT. So far, over 800 companies have already benefited from the solutions proposed by Łukasiewicz’s scientists.

However, this is not the only job of scientists employed in the Łukasiewicz Research Network. They work on national and international projects, creating solutions for almost every area of the economy.

In order to serve the growing demand for innovative solutions, the entire Łukasiewicz Research Network wants to employ 2,000 new employees in the research and development sector in 2023-2024. One hundred of them will work at Łukasiewicz – PIT (remotely or on site).

“We place special emphasis on those people who are creative and innovative, and whose ideas have commercialization potential,” says Krystyna Sawczuk, Head of the HR Department at Łukasiewicz – PIT.

The employed researchers will join teams conducting advanced research projects, including those carried out in international consortia, e.g. as part of Horizon Europe. Among the positions that will be waiting for researchers are specialists in research and design of IT solutions in the field of artificial intelligence, system programming (e.g. Lotus, PHP Developer, Java, etc.), as well as business analysts and logistics experts.

Łukasiewicz – Poznan Institute of Technology conducts research in six areas: digital transformation, agricultural and food technology, wood technology, plastic processing, logistics and modern technologies and rail vehicles. It is the second largest institute in the Łukasiewicz Research Network.
